parallel vs. serial ATA

If I have a hard drive, where in the specs does it say if it's a parallel or serial ATA drive? On the box it just says "ATA/EIDE".

Serial has a small connector, only 5?. While parallel is 40 connectors. The box would say Serial ATA or SATA.
