Someone told me that if a motherboard does NOT have PS/2 ports originally, then using a dongle to convert from PS/2 to USB will not work. I haven't verified this myself, but it brings to mind a similar question.

On many of the new Dells, they don't have PS/2 or parallel ports. If the mobo does not have a parallel port, will my parallel printer still work if I use a parallel to USB converter?

Thanks in advance.

Can't see a reason why not.
I use a USB to serial converter and it's fantastic. I used to have to carry 2 types of cable around (null & Straight) but it's all software worth the USB.

Only the truly stupid believe they know everything.
