My portable Iomega ZIP drive and Okidata LED printer are connected to the same Parallel Port and the printer won't work. I have contracted Iomega and followed their suggestions to no avail. Any suggestions?

Please explain how they are connected to the same port. Ed Fair

Is your printer cable going through the pass-through of the ZIP drive?
I had the same problem, but I found out that if I shut off the Zip drive, the printer works fine. And if you shut off the printer, the ZIP drive works fine.
Do you encounter the same symptoms?

you could possibly get a switch so only one device is accessing the port at a time. I have a scanner that uses a pass thru printer plug like that, but I never have trouble with it because usually the scanner is on one computer and the printer is on another computer. You could turn off the computer, unplug the zip drive and plug in the printer directly and reboot. If you do not like my post feel free to point out your opinion or my errors.

Can always uninstall them bother and try to reinstall.

There is an outside chance the printer cord or the zip drive cord is bad also. If one of these is new send it back and get a USB model. If you do not like my post feel free to point out your opinion or my errors.
