I'm going to have to convert a Paradox 5.0 application to MS Access2000. Does anyone know of any utilities or processes that will simplify this project?

It's easy to import the data, but how about the form or form layout and controls?

Thanks in advance,

Mike Burke
meburke@electrotex.com

Mike,
Unless the forms/reports are extremely complex - i.e. thousands of objects - you are looking at rebuild & recode in VB. I've did a couple of forms (one very complex) and a report for an app that I had in Pdx V7 but concluded it wasn't worthwhile to continue the conversion. A useful tip is : do an enumUIObjectProperties for the form/reports and then extract the size and positions of the objects. These can be useful in the new environment.
Padraig
