Paging error

Hi there, I am trying to set up pager alerts but I get the following error when I try to test it.
"Alpha paging system answered and connected, but did not respond, possibly due to invalid com port settings."

If I use a hyper terminal to connect to the pager system from the same PC it works fine.

Any ideas, hints or tips?
