I have a pager(with pagers) system connected to my option 61c, if I dial the number 210, followed by my pager number I can get access to that person's pager. Example, 210 then 594#.

I also had the possibility before the upgrade of MerMail to CP that people from outside could dial my main number, 0323281, dial 210 and then also reach people on the paging system. After the upgrade of the PABX and MMail to cp this has stopped working. Any ideas on what I can check to get this working again?

Internally at the option 61 site I can however use the 210 (which is an acod) and then use the paging system. It doesn't work from dialing in externally to the pbx.

look at the rpls, they default to a level that denies that.. the pilot will do any task the meramil would. i went through the same thing with the same upgrade just over a year ago

RPLS? Ok please remind me where I have seen that b4?

Thanks

RPLs = Retriction Permition Lists

all dialout funtions are assigned a RPL - there you decide what CP or MerMail is allowed to dial

all numbers are allowed in call pilot on the rpl's. Do I have to define rpl's on the pbx too?

In which overlay can I print my rpl on the Option 61c?

the 61 does not have rpl's. it has bars, if you can dial the number from a set then the problem is in the rpl's of the call pliot.. i got a laugh out of someone telling you it;s the rpls in the switch...

Ok the rpl's are fine in call pilot, what else could I be able to check?

What's the TGAR of your mail ports? Is it the same as the TGAR of an internal phoneset that can reach the paging system?

--T1PSTN

i would build a menu to test with, need an option to dial 210, that will tell us if the call pilot acd members can dial that number.. it that passes we can look a little deeper.. and like the 1st answer the default targ and tgar are both 1... if those defaults are still in play, that's a natural block

the tgar on the acd agents is 1. Could that be causing a block?

best way to check that would be to change your phone to ncos 0, tgar 1 ctd and try to page someone.. you could look it up in bars.. prt the nxx, then the rlb and ckeck the frl. in most switches ncos 0 is internal.. but of course that can be changed

john poole

they aren't using ncos at this site. Sets are just being restricted using the tgar/targ

The CLS UNR and TGAR 0 would allow an access code to be dialed by the agent... I think that's what you'll need to make this work. Do you have the port-set configs for any of your old MerMail agents? CHeck their TGAR and CLS as reference. If all else fails, John Poole's method is the best one going-- COnfigure a phone until it does what you'd like the mailport to do and then try to apply the same settings.

--T1PSTN

Well it seems that I have already tried everything, but nothing seems to work. I have tried working with different cls's, but nothing.
I even compaired a normal set's cls to one of an agent, changed it and nothing happened.
The paging system works fine at the site side, but doesn't work when u try to dial into the system.

Can you call a mailport from an internal extension and page through a menu-service? Is the problem ONLY when entering the system from the PSTN? Check the TARG/TGAR of your inbound rout and memebers. Make sure that you aren't barring trunk-to-trunk calls. If a call comes in on a trunk, access to page is another trunk. If a station calls, it isn't trunk-to-trunk, and that access restriction wouldn't apply.
