Dear all,

I tried to find a way how to include page numbers in the footer starting as of page 3, having on page 2 a Roman number and on the first page no numbering at all. At "page number format" I can chose and opt for Page numbering - continue previous section...meaning I need to include sections into my work?

Could anyone help me to solve the problem?

Thank you.

Brgds,

Use Section Breaks between the pages. That way you can set up different footers for the different sections. By default, footers are set to "Same as previous", i.e. copied from the previous section, but you can turn that off and define a different footer for each section.

Zerotech,

You will need to include Section Breaks at the end of pages 1 & 2. Then in the footer of page 2 & 3 you will need to deselect the Link to Previous button.

On page 2 you can then type in the roman numerals manually.

In the footer on page 3 click Tools > Page Numbers > Format... > Page numbering [Start at] #First Page Number#

Hope this helps,
Alex
