In CR 6/7/8 when conditionally suppressing a Page Footer, the objects in the Page Footer will get supressed, but the Page Footer will still be there as a blank space.
This is a known "problem". CR says that it is "by design".
Q: I am wondering if this has changed in version 9, 10, 11. Will a conditionally suppressed a Page Footer still leave white space?
If "corrected", does anyone know beginning with which CR version it changed?
Using a Blob object, my customers can create there own Page headers/footer with company name, address, logo, etc.: They just save the objects to a predefined file name with-in the same folder as the rpt.
Some customers use paper with preprinted company information on it and the Blob objects are suppressed, and they can determine the margins to allow space for the information on the preprinted paper.
But, some want the footer just on the first page, some on the last page, some on all but the first page, some on all pages and some on none.
The problem is that the customer sees a sometimes large blank space on the pages with a supressed footer, and complain about the extra paper usage (the blank space could be used for the data being printed).
