Not all of this applies to you...but check this out:
Did you check the client log files? You can look in c:\Windows\system32\CCM\logs
Also, on a working client, you will be able to go into CONTROL PANEL --> SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT applet and click the components tab.
If all components show as INSTALLED, you client is not "talking" to the SMS site server. on a working client, you should see some components as "ENABLED".
When the SMS client software is installed, you will automatically get client components installed by default. However, before the client actually enables itself, the SMS site server (management point) must be contacted.
I would check to make sure the clients can talk to the SMS server. Check the logs.
Also, to test to see if the client can see the management point, run this on the client machine:

Q. None of my clients are receiving any policies. What should I check? (Added February 27, 2004)
A. Simulate a simple client request to IIS on the
management point. First, on the Start menu, click Run and type
point name>/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mplist. If you see a blank screen instead of an error message, the request is successful. Next, on the Start menu, click Run and type
point name>/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mpcert. If the request is successful, you will see a long list of numbers and letters. Finally, run the MPGetPolicy tool from the SMS Toolkit1, available on the Microsoft Download site. If all of these tests fail, verify that your management point has been installed correctly. For more information about verifying the successful installation of a management point, see “Site Systems Frequently Asked Questions” on Microsoft TechNet.
Also check resolution on the problematic client machines...
