Hello,

I am using the package and development wizard in Visual Basic Vers. 6 to set up my application. When I start up the PDW I initially click on package, I then choose my packaging script, the type of package and then when I am prompted to enter the folder which will assemble the package, I make the folder entry and the program freezes. It must be a project specific problem because it does not occur with my other projects.

I suspect that it may have soemthing to do with the files I have previously referenced for the package. I have also examined the .vbp file using Notebook at to me everything looks OK.

If anybody can offer me some method for getting to the root of this problem I would appreciate it.

Thank you

What service pack of VB are you on? If not 3, then I suggest running SP3. I had a similar problem and when I updated from SP2 to SP3 it worked.

It is not neccessary that required SP3 to resolve this problem. mans try to delete your PWD file and the complete directory where you had created your package earlier and try again to build package.

Before doing this take a look of setup.lst file might be there is file referencing which Package deployment can not resovle to start making your package.
