I have a stock fan and heatsink on my P4 2.53 533FSB cpu.The cooling temp is ok.Around 43C.Other than water cooling, and those heavy copper based heatsinks,is there a better fan and heatsink that I could use inplace of the stock one?If so which is the best? I don't want to remove the mobo if possible and I don't plan on over clocking the cpu.
Thanks

That temperature isn't that bad. But if you really want another one, you will need to get one at a computer-type store. I think it would be better to keep the one you have.

This link might be useful to you. Be warned, you're opening a can of worms here. We all tend to have differing views on this subject.

File not found. Should I fake it? (Y/N)

Please tell me if the answer I gave was helpful or a mere bus ride out. Without your feedback I won't know.

True, a can of worms but thanfully many overclockers websites have indepth reviews on the newest products, just be careful not to be tempted into buying an extremely noisey fan (overclockers are pushing the envelope so require the cooling power these fans offer)
but it should be possible to get a much more effective heatsink without the excessive noise.
I wouldn't be doing my job on this forum if I didn't point out the fact that on the figures you have posted you really don't have any problems with your stock setup, so I do question your need for anything better.
Martin Please let members know if there advice has helped any.

thanks for the input. After doing a little more research,I think I'll stick with the stock unit.
