Hi guys,

i have recently got my domain name registered...inetlearn.net it aint even active yet..did it today.

I wanna know other than hosting a website on what else can i do?...the hosting and name servers are controlled by third party i got nothing to do so far.

Thanks in advance....cheers!.

You can use it for email. You will need a mail server set up to accept mail for that domain and then MX records to point to your mail server(s).

You want to "enhance" the use of a registered domain name? Your question is very vague!

exactly i want to enhance the use of reg. domain name....still any answers?

Rigth now the only way to enhance(whatever) things from your place is for you to login to their webserver via ftp and update your webpage or ask them on how to administer your company email system remotely via web.

You can have all enhancement you like if you have the control so make and register name servers (DNS) and host yourself your email and web site.

As i'm reading my post, I know this is not the thing you're expecting so tell us what's on your mind?

humm okay...is it possible for me to link my this reg. domain name with a primary active directory domain...so that users can log into the domain globally...for example...

my registered domain name is inetlearn.net

my active directory domain name is also inetlearn.net..would both the AC-domain and this reg. domain be the same and linked together in some way...so that a user exits who wants to log into the system from his home into AC-domain...just by being a member of inetlearn.net..or is this possible only via VPN or dial-up.

even in case of VPN can this reg domain name help me in any way?

Anyhow my main concern is that other than using the registered domain name as a website what else can i do with it?..aaah duh! use as Ftp lol

regards...and thanks for putting up with me..

So did this mean iam missing up on some serious basics of networking?...hehehehe plz do ans id admit?

regards.
netlearner!
