I need help setting up OWA for Exchange 2000 on my network. Is there any good step-by-step guides on configuring this to work easily?

Ok I see that it is set up by default under default website. I have reenabled that and got the site to load locally, yet I get an error that says folder is missing or deleted when I try to log in. Over the Internet, I am not able to get the site to load. I changed the port to 5000 and have my router forward the port yet still page can not be found. What am I missing?

I am having the same problem with my OWA. I get the message "The Item could not be found. It may have been deleted." also.

Open IIS from your administrative tools snap in. Once open click on default web site. Ensure that the exchange folder is there. If you click on Exchange folder it will list your available mailboxes. If this is not there that is you issue. Also if you have ISA running you will need to do some configuring there.

When you try to access OWA via a browser what are your putting in (i.e)IP address/exchange or somedomain.com/exchange. Let me know these particulars and I will be able to help more.

Also what version of IIS are you running?

I am running IIS 5.0 and when I try to logon locally with administrator account, I get the options ont he left, but inbox just sits there loading... If i try to logon with administrator through the internet it happens the same way. If I try it with any other user, i don't get anything but "The Item could not be found. It may have been deleted" with no options on the left frame.

I am using IIS5.0. I checked that virtual folder and the mailboxes are listed. When I am local, I just type the
When I am coming to it externally I type
I am on a dynamic IP where I use have it updated to my domain name. I have 4 other websites running off this server. Do I need to add host headers or something for the default website. I also would like to change the port to be different from my current websites if possible. I did that and still no page available off site.

I might have found part of the issue with some of the access. I do not have access rights as my Server's Administrator to the MBX folders located on Exchange's HD. I go under its security say on one of my client's mailbox folder and it is blocking Domain Admin group and my Admin user account on the server. I can't to save my life figure out how to get permission's back for this. I am not even able to take back ownership of the folder. How can my admin be blocked out of the accounts???

Ok I have played with this some more. I installed Certificate Server 2.0 on my box and set up the OWA to use SSL. That seems to be working since now I no longer get the missing or deleted mailboxes error. Yet now when I am testing it locally, my inbox is stuck on loading. Is that because I am local? Do I need to be outside of my LAN to test this?
