Hi, hope someone can help, something I'v wanted to do for a while but not got around to. We are running Exchange 5.5 on NT4 server. I have a public ip address for the machine, but at the moment it has a private one on my LAN (which i will need to keep i think), behind an ADSL router which has another public address.
I want to make the machine public so we can read mails over the net using Outlook Web Access. Im not sure if this should be in the Exchange forum or the NT forum, so putting in both. kind of after a start to finish guide... if possible!

thanks
Ben

Insert CD into Exchange. Run through install and tick the OWA box.

On the ADSL router, set a public to private link to the Exchange server IP for port 80.

That's it.

Oh, but patch the thing - you're using very elderly technology and it needs patching to keep it fairly safe.

its a 50 user box but only want owa for 1 or maybe 2 users at a time.

also remember to enable users the "log on locally" permission. NT4 doesn't enable it.
