Hi

I'm new to exchange 2K3.
We have configured OWA for our clients to access email from outside the school network.
When users enter the url, they are presented with a dialog box asking for logon name and password.
My concern is that our public IP address is displayed on the dialog box. Is this a security hole?

Thanks

Anyone can get your public IP address doing a simple nslookup - it's in your MX records. In itself, I don't think it is a major security problem.

I agree with Pink.

Take a look at what can be found by visiting dnstuff.com or whois.net.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
