OWA Ports?

I will have port 80 open and 443 for SSL. Do I need other ports open? I have read some things about ports 691, 389, 3268 and 88....are these necessary?

No - none of those are needed. And, if you want to force your users to use 443, then 80 isn't needed either. I never open 80.

Obviously, 25 needs to be open to allow email through, but that's not OWA specific.

Yes...I am doing a frontend/backend solution...so I need those ports open for this scenario?
 
Read this document from ms, says it all. Dont forget to restrict the rpc.


This document applies if you have your FE on another network as your BE server. If you have both servers on the same segment you dont need to open any ports at all.

You might consider goin with ipsec between the machines if you have them on seperat segments. You need to open a lot of ports
 
My mistake. I was making an assumption that since a FE/BE solution was not mentioned, that you were doing a one-server solution.

Using one server solution, port 443 is open. But it is not working both outside the network and on the server. Getting page can not be display. Please help
