OWA mail "self-deleting"

I've got two users that ONLY use OWA via an Exchange 2000 box. About a month ago, if they clicked on one email to delete it, several, random ones, would also delete. Now it seems Many just disappear. They are not in the Deleted Items box either. Any chuckles on this one?

Check to see if your antivirus/spam software is removing them.
