I have an issue with OWA. I can read e-mails fine but when I go to reply or send a new e-mail the area where you would write the body of the e-mail displays a red "X" in the top right-hand corner and I cannot type anything in it. Almost like an activex component isn't installed.

Any suggestions?

I know it is obvious but have you tried accessing OWA from a different machine/browser?

I've seen this before; you need to reinstall Office 2000 (I don't recall if a repair worked or not).

The Office2000/OWA combination requires some additional Office files that are not installed by default. The first time a user on the system composes a message in OWA, they will be prompted for the Office 2000 CD. If they cancel this menu, the red "x" issue occurs, and they will no longer be prompted for the Office CD.
