Hi,

We have our Exchange 2003 (OWA) in windows 2003 server and the IIS is in a different server. We have no idea how to set up the IIS to access the OWA in a different server.

And we don't have any front end-Back end kind of setup for exchange server.

It'll be helpful if someone can throw some light on this.

Thanks in advance!

The IIS in the webserver doesn't have any virtual server entries (exchange, exchWeb etc) for the Exchange 2003 in another server. Can you pls tell me how to create these virtual directories in IIS pointing to the other server.

Thanks!

Thanks for those links.

I have already gone through them. All of them deal with exchange and IIS in the same server. In my case, If I create the virtual servers in Exchange, it doesn't get created automatically in the IIS running in another server. So, I think I got to create the virtual directories in IIS and somehow map it to the virtual servers in exchange (under HTTP). Can I get any help on this..

Thanks!

Of course they will not get created elsewhere, and why would they.
On the other server, any other server, you can create custom pages pointing to the 'real' one.

how to make them point the real one? The custom pages which I tried creating works fine in the Intranet. But when I tried to access via Internet as an external user, I couldn't. The IIS in the web server is not able to recognise the internal server where Exchange 2003 (and another IIS) is running.

Thanks!

Well, first you need to know WHY your server does not find the Exch. Server, that part, we cannot see from here.
For the rest, it can be as simple as a redirect to the OWA server's URL.
