I just finnished up the exchange 2000 installation. Sending email or recieving email are working like a charm. However that i have one last thing that i need to configure that is the default page, so when i go to it will show the logon screen.
Righ now it kept giving an error like this "The page cannot be displayed" and if i type this then it will show my OWA inbox mail. I thought the default page is created automatically. My questions are:
1- Do i need to create the default page like logon.asp? or where the default page so i can point it to home directory of default website properties window.
2-Can i customize the logon.asp and logoff.asp?
3-I am planning the host my own website on the same exchange server using same IIS. is it doable?
4-I have this error in the IIS "ERROR EXADMIN, ERROR PUBLIC, ERROR EXCHANGE" showing RED ERROR. Have you seen that and how do you fix it?
Your feedback are laways appreciated and may your talent and intelligent are alway getting sharper each day.
-Cheers folks

However one last question is When i am in my domain i can access it to my mail box, but when i am out side my network then i could not logon through the OWA. I got the logon window screen but it did not take my pwd. I know I put in correct pwd. I know some security setting. Please guide to the last favour. Thank you very much

Hi Marc,
I looked at that thread858-728607. However i could not find a solution for me. My problem is my pwd does not work if i use the OWA. I can connect to my mail server if i use the outlook client. But if i use OWA i can't get in to my mail box. I am the only mail box of my server, i also created a new mail box i does a samething. However, if I use the OWA internal network it work just fine, but external network it does not authenticate my PWD. Do you think it gotta do with firewall? my email routing is working fine inside and outside.
I think must be some permission in the ISS setting. I have enable the "Anonymous access" "Integrate window authentication"
What do you think? I am geting so close now. All i need to make the OWA to work, then i am set.
Much appreciated for your help.
-Cheers

Maybe this:

but, post the error you get, and also check your Event log on the Exc server, there may be a hint in there.

Marc,
I have searched every single link that you suggested. Unfortunately, i could not find the answer out those links. I still have a same issue which is that i can access the owa internal network, but if i try to access outside the network. It could not authenticate my pwd. On my exchange server I have checked to ensure that IUSR_<machinename> the account does exist, and monkey around settings that MS mentioned. None of them help me at all. I don't know where can i turn it to. Do you have any other suggestion???? Greatly appreciate it!

Before anything else, did you apply the service packs, for server AND Exchange Server? If not, do so (backup!).

Anothe thing to check, if applicable:

Yes, the SP3 is installed. I just found out the wierd thing is if i go to mydomain.com and logon with my user ID then OWA works, but if i go to mail.mydomain.com and logon the PWD did not work. What do you think?
Also how come when i send an email to yahoo account my email address is going to the "BULK" folder. What do i need to do to make my email is a legitimate mail.

if your default website is on domain.com, the of course it will not work on mail.domain.com
to change that:
which was the very first link I posted!

Not sure if it is relevant, but when I setup our OWA, I found you had to logon "explicitly" to OWA if you were not on your own domain.
I also found mail.alias was in our case "firstname.lastname", being email alias rather than logon account alias as in Exch. 5.5. It's also how you connect to somebody elses mailbox when you are logged in yourself.

Best of luck.

Thanks guys, especially Marc have been helping me along.
Regarding my question above I still can't figure out why my email address is a "BULK"? everytime i send to yahoo address and it goes to the "BULK" folder. That's wierd.
Any idea???
