Hi everyone.

Has anyone installed and used the OWA Admin Tool? I'm certain I'm missing something very obvious, but when I install and go to I get a screen that looks like this:

owa.gif

What am I missing???

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Anyone? I'm sure this is a super quick fix....

Thanks again...

let's see. do you have all requireD components installed?

.net framework and aspx is working on your IIS

Thanks for the reply. I definitely have the .net framework installed, IIS is running. I've never touched IIS/ASP, only Apache/PHP. How do I confirm aspx is working?

Thanks in advance.

try to run "aspnet_regiis" to register ASPX with your IIS, look at /? first.

I think it will help if you remove it clean and re-install it again.

That did it!

And I don't know why I'm having so much trouble with this, BUT...the readme file clearly states that you should not install the tool on the same machine on which you have Exchange running. Nonetheless, nowhere do I see an option to choose another machine other than the one on which the tool is installed. ??

Any further thoughts?

Thanks again for tip #1.

Is the machine you have OWAAdmin installed on part of the same AD as the Exchange servers? I just tried installing it and it came up and showed all 40 Exchange 2003 servers for our organization. Where your screenshot shows "MICHAELG" mine has a drop down combo box that lets me select the server. I didn't configure anything, it just found them through AD. The one thing I can think of is I do have the Exchange 2003 admin tools loaded on this machine as well, maybe that makes a difference.

Yes, that machine is part of the same AD. Hmm...when I initially access it prompts me for login info. I entered the local machine administrator account and password. I wonder if that makes a difference...

Got it! I went into IIS manager on the local machine and opened the properties for the OWAAdmin directory. On the Directory Security tab, I clicked to edit the Authentication settings and changed the default domain to DOMAIN.lan (my Windows server domain name). Hallelujah.
