Hello,

Call me stupid but im trying to give 2000 file permissions to a directory/files, and only want to give this specific user/group write permission with the ability to overwrite any existing files. I do not want that group to be able to read the contents of the directory etc.

Please put me out of my misery

Thanks in advance.

Assuming your setting security through an explorer window...did you check the Advanced button on the Security tab?
