Override HFAI setting 2

Is it possible to override the HFAI status on a phone? I have been asked to make a "page all" button which would open a voice path to all phones via the speaker. Some wold be on HFAI and others not. Is the best plan to make a page HG and then a shortcode to dialpage?

Haven't tested but I would be very surprised if HFAI applied to a group page (except maybe when the HFAI user is the only person being paged). So yes, create your group and page it.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

I'm fairly sure you need to hit the conference key or select "Answer" on the screen (depending on phone) to answer a group page, they will not auto answer group pages as it's not a standard call

We do not want anyone answering the page, we just want to be able to make an announcement like "wherever you are park 1." This company has two floors so they don;t know where somebody is at any given moment so they want to announce over all the phones.

Well then f'ing test it, just because I mentioned the process required to answer it doesn't mean I believed that's what was required or that you should attempt that, it was to set your mind at rest that it will not happen automatically. Good lord, at what point did testing come after asking strangers what should happen in their opinion ?

At what point? When the client is 60 miles away and I am working on a copy of their config and have no remote access. I am on site now and it works great. I know I know get a demo system. That's for next year.

I'd say it's polite to give a feedback on a page, like "Thanks, picking up park102".

But as Andy pointed out, page would never act as an intercom.
(Imagine 100+ phones go off hook into that page group, initiating the feedback of the century )
If audio path is set to Headset, hitting the conf-button will create the correct path.

I seem to e avoiding feedback because the only person who will have a "page all" button is the receptionist and she is not near any other phones. I will test more tomorrow but I bet if I tested it using a phone in the cube farm the results may be different. Might be a bit of a shock to the prairie dogs.
