Hi,

I have a weird one here.

IpOffice 406V2 5.0.18

I have a phone that when picked up dials a hunt group
using short code ?D 300 DialExtn line-1.
This bit works fine.

300 has an overflow to another group with one virtual extension in it which is set to forward unconditional to a mobile.

If I pick up the phone it dials 300 but never overflows!

If I dial 300 form any other extension the overflow works fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Richard

From any other extension you dial the number from this extension you have DialExtn ( a group is not a extension ) and you set line id 1 which must be 0 for DialExtn.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

Yes I see now. You need to be a bit clever here.
The autodial phone needs to dial an extension rather than a huntgroup group first.

You can then forward the second extension in the chain to a huntgroup.

This huntgroup can then have an overflow to another extension which in turn has a fwd unconditional to a mobile/cell number.

This works a treat.

Just need to work out how I can change the fwd unconditional number on a virtual extension with shortcodes.

Suggestions anyone?

Cheers

Richard

Hey mariddle01 thanks for the input.Could you suggest or give an example of how to change the fwd unconditional number using shortcodes on a remote extension. I know under vm pro this is a fairly straight forward process but sadly i dont have vm pro.

Cheers

Richard

Enter a login code for that virtual extension so it becomes a hotdesk user, make sure you have ticked "fwd hunt group calls"

The Hunt Group cannot be set to collective.
Do you have a "? / Dial / . / LineID" in your shortcode list?
If you have that than it should work like that.

Hi Bas1234,

I have the user setup as a hot desk user now. I also have the ?/Dial/./LineID (0) too. What I don't see is how I can use this to create buttons on another extension to change the fwd unconditional number on the hot desk extension.

Am I missing a fundamental part or am I being thick?

Cheers

Missed that part, how many FWD numbers do you have, or is it random?

If you have up to 10 or so, what you could try is to make 10 virtual users and create a SC to log them in/out of that overflow group. If it's random you need to build something in VMPRO.

OK think I might be getting it now.
I have created a shortcode *60*N#/Forward Number/ext no/line group id 1.

I see that the codes are recognised as a fwd number change on the extension but I see this ( see below) at the end is seems to ignore the change, setopergroup from g null to g null note executed play tones in sequence EE, which i'm guessing is the double bip that I hear to confirm that the operation has comopleted, but it doesn't set the new fwd number, in this instance i'm trying to set it to "3".

Cheers

Richard
