Hello,
I need to output e-mail addresses to Outlook. I can output to an external file such as Notepad, Word, Excel, but how can I output this to an Outlook file which is acceptable to the Outlook format such as "Address1; Address2; Address3;" etc. to be picked up by the Outlook user?
Look forward to hearing from you.
regards

Go to 'File>GetExternalData>LinkTables' and select 'Outlook()' in the 'SaveAs' drop down box. From there the wizard will guide you through the procedure, you will be able to map the fields yourself, though.

You're not alone,

Thanks Tom,
I will try that suggestion. I would ideally like to format a command button on a form to do this for me, is this possible?

Hi Ian,

After checking the link procedure again I need to correct myself. Linking or importing will not let you map any fields, but return a default table. Depending on your needs , that might be good enough. I'll try to get back to you tomorrow about that.

One remark still: Linking will work both ways, Acc-Outlook and Outlook-Acc which is a nice feature in general unless you want only one direction. Well, just a thought.

'til tomorrow

Hello all,
Further to my recent enquiry. I am not an Outlook expert, but I need to be able to automatically import a file in Notepad to a group in Outlook. I can do this manually but it need to be automated in order to make it easy for the user to operate.
Has anybody any suggestions how I can do this?
Thanks

You might look into the code samples that Helen Feddema has available at her website at

Just click on the link for Code Samples. This one might be one that can help you:

Thankyou PaulF. I have not had a look at it yet but I think it might have solved my problem.
I did not know that the website existed.
Thanks again.
