when i output my report to a .txt file, Access puts in random blank lines.

I have read that a remedy is to make the line size divisible by 8 but that still doesn't seem to work . perhaps i'm doing it wrong?

Have a code fragment you could post? The only time I've seen blank lines in a file is when I had a bug in my program or wanted to put one there.
