outlook's journal function, or lack there of

i was using the journal option in outlook for about a month and a half when my "tower" had to be exchanged... everything from before is still there; but now for some reason the journal's autorecord functions are not working... they are all checked the way i want them; but it is not recording anything at all unless i do it manually - which defeats the purpose imo...

does anyone have any ideas?
according to the IS dept here i am probably the only person housewide that actually uses it so they couldnt tell me what to do...

Have you check marked everything under: Tools, Options, General Tab/ Journal Options button...these are the steps for automating Journal.

yes i have them all checked... i even went in - unchecked everything... saved it and shut the PC down... then turned it back on - rechecked everything... saved it and turned the PC off again... still nothing... but thanks for the suggestion...
