Howdy,

Is it possible to save Outlook Express (V-6) email on a server? I have tried to change the folder location in Options, maintenance, but I am unable to change the folder location to a network location. I am the System Administrator, and I have access to everything. In this case, it is my account. What is the reason, or what am I doing wrong?

Thanks

what is prohibiting you from doing it that way you said you tried? are there errors? or can you not find a acceptable folder?

the reason i ask is with our set-up it allows me to choose the network and select any pc/server.

Thanks for the response.

The folder I create in the user's folder on one of the servers is grayed out. There probably is a setting to change. To be honest, though I have web-based e-mail on my Unix server and I wish the users would only use this. There is probably some configuration error.

Thanks,

You can not set OE storage location to a network location. This was intentionally done by Microsoft due to stability problems with the program when a network storage location was involved. joegz
