MS outlook is working slow via a 56k line (RAS connection to the citrix server), it is just for outlook, word, excel ... are working fine

who can help me, steven

Some degradation with Outlook would be normal. An analysis of Excel, Outlook Word on our farm shows that Outlook takes over twice as much CPU on average compared to the other 2 office products.
