Outlook unable to log on to Exchange Server 1

Hello there

Outlook 2k and Exchange 2k

I am having a peculiar problem with one workstation on my network.

When outlook attempts to log on to the server - the following error message is generated -
Microsoft Exchange Address book cannot log on to the Microsoft Exchange server.

No other accounts on the network are having any problems and I cannot find anything unusual about this one.

I have re-installed Outlook and rebooted server etc.

This all started after I re-installed the OS (Win 2k) after problems with IE6.
I can see the server, I can ping and open anything on it.
and as I said no other workstation is having any probs.

Any pointers gratefully received.

Many many thanks - I have searched on MS for an answer, but never got that one.

All sorted and knowledge stored away for future use.

I beleive this is the same issue I was having last week although I cant recall it was the same error. To resolve it I just went to the exchange server settings within outlook. Went to more settings and changed the settings to manually control connection state and connect with the network. I changed with on Outlook 2003 but I believe 2000 is the same.
