Hey,

I've recently had problems with a clients PC and reinstalled the OS but left the data intact. As expected, when I reinstalled Office (well, repaired it) it didn't pick up the settings from pre-OS reinstall. The client needs to get the email that were in the folders that were setup in Outlook.

Does anyone know where these folders/emails are stored on the HD?

Cheers,

If they had a personal folder, then they're *.pst files. Once you find them, open Outlook and hit File-Open, Personal folder file...

If it's the right one, you may want to take the right PST file and replace the new one that was created on install.

You must do so with Outlook closed and via Windows Explorer. When you launch OL again, it'll hook into the right one.

Sorry, Steve. I should have given you these too:

Backup for Internet Mail Only, Outlook 2000:

Backup for Corporate Workgroup, Outlook 2000:

For your reference next time, so you can back everything up first...

:)

Thanks for the star!
