Outlook Sent messages

Okay, here is a new one...

Outlook2000 on a Win2000 platform

When this user sends a new message, a copy is not kept in the "Sent Folder" BUT when he replies to a message that was already sent to him, the replies ARE kept.

We already went through the TOOLS/Options/Email/email options path and made sure that the "kept sent email" option was checke and that didn't help.

Any ideas out there?

Open the user's sent items folder.
Go to View-Toolbars, make sure Advanced is checked.
Make sure the dropdown view shows messages and not "read messages" or some such other option...

If you can't figure this out, close his Outlook.

Hit Start-Run and type:

outlook.exe /cleanviews

and restart his Outlook if necessary. This will wipe any custom views, so beware.

You may need to include the path to outlook.exe, such as:

c:\program files\microsoft\office\outlook.exe /cleanviews
