Hi,

I want to save a send file in a specific folder in outlook 2000.
Looks simple (and it is!) But there is a catch!

I hope I can explain this well:

When I'm sending an email from an inbox subfolder called "dog", I want my send message being saved in a folder within the send messages folder, in the subfolder "dog". Then, when I send a message from the inbox subfolder "cat", I want it to be saved in the send messages subfolder "cat". And this is the problem... I cannot find how to make this difference between where the message is being send from in my inbox folders...

I hope clear enough...

Hi

I think what you need is:

Tools, Options
Emails options (button)
Advanced email options (button)

and check "In folders other than the Inbox, save replies with the original message".

Hi,

you can create categories called CAT and DOG. If you "attach" the categories to the mails you can add a rule which stores the mails depending on the categories they are in.

Hope that solves the problem.

Thanks you all.
The combination of these 2 is exactly what I was searching for!
