Outlook Question Regarding Views by Categories

Hello! I have outlook 2003 with about 10,000 contacts in my public folder contacts. I have categories assigned to each contact and alot of contacts belong to several categories. Before I used to browse by categories and people with multiple categories showed up several times in there seperate categories lists. Now, somehow these categories merged and if a person belongs to multiple categories, it shows up only once on with that merged category name instead of seperate once. Can anyone help me? I'm sorry this is too confusing, but if someone understands categories and can help me, i can explain further.

BUMP!
I feel your pain... having the same problem. The By Category view doesn't show a grouping of which contacts have this one category in their info, just which contacts have the given group of categories.
