Outlook PST file

Have a weird situation. PST files are located on server. On one user the file is huge 700mg. But when I'm in outlook and look at the folder size for this user the most I can see is probalby 15 mg distributed bewteen the folders (inbox,sent items etc..)

Anyone ever see this.

Yes I've follwed the path. I also hasve looked at all the folders. One note though is she has 2 personal folders but only 1 PST file. For soem reason Outlook won't let me delete the other folder. We did clear every message out of it and have viewed the folder size on every folder when done.

TWO personal folders?
Are you sure that one is not her exchange server and one is a PST?

They are both PSTs that reside on hard drive or network, and not on the mail server, huh?

Outlook *won't let you delete it*?
If it's really a PST, then close Outlook and go rename the PST file. Reopen Outlook.

You may be able to remove it under Tools-Services (Outlook 2000), too.

Whats weird is Outlook shows 1 PST but 2-personal folders. I can remove one via tools-servicesw but the other remains and can't be removed.

I'm thinking if I remove the current PST, make a new one of different name and import from old one I'll have same issue?

This sounds like a corrupt Outlook profile. Create a new outlook profile that points to the correct .pst file. If this solves the problem, delete the corrupt profile.

I had/have a similar situation with one of my users as well. He's got one Archive and two Personal Folders listed in his folder list. The Archive one is good. I too am unable to delete either of the Personal Folder listings. And on one of them, when I click on it, it says it is unable to locate the file but there isn't one. If the .pst file doesn't exist shouldn't you be able to delete the listing form the folder list? The other one gives me an error message, but I don't remember what it is off the top of my head. If I get a chance to get to this user's machine today I'll post it.
