One of our users has a message that can't be deleted. In fact, when you just click it, it crashes outlook and won't allow send/receive without reconfiguring the account. I have scanned with Norton and it's not finding anything. Any ideas? She's running a brand new computer with Windows and Office XP. Thanks for the help.

There are 2 .pst files on her machine. One is called Outlook and the other is called backup. Which do I delete, and how do I go about making a new one? Thanks for the help.

One of the messages that causes the crash has an attachment and the other one doesn't. However, they are both from the same email address.

You could delete outlook.pst, but be aware that this will delete all the contacts, mail, calender appointments, etc.

You could try to use the rules wizard to create a rule that would delete the offending message. It might work, it might not. If it does work, make sure to turn it off or delete the rule, so that you don't delete good messages in the future.

Ok, I created a rule to get rid of the emails from the user they were coming from and it finally deleted them. Then I turned the rule off. Hopefully when more messages come from the user, it doesn't do the same thing. Thanks again for the help
