I have numerous accounts set up in Outlook. Every so often, the POP server is changed to "localhost" and the account name has "/pop server name" after it. This causes problems with sending outgoing mail. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

That is your anti virus program (Symantec I assume) that is doing that as part of it's email scanning function. If you really really want to stop that from happening you have to disable e-mail scanning for incoming mail but that of course increases your risk of receiving viruses.

Sometimes it does cause a problem with downloading e-mail and you may need to temporarily turn it off but I would then enable it again and see if the behavior persists. joegz
