Here is an odd one I ma hoping someone else has come across.

Got an email in HTML format that has an animated GIF file I wanted to save offline. For the life of me I can't figure out where the file is from though. Looking at the HTML source it says

<IMG
src="cid:013f01c65813$497f4be0$7c64a8c0@YOURCCD0E6383E">

Anybody out here know how to translate that to a location I can grab the file from?

I've tried doing a copy/paste from within the message but it does not work.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

if you just view the email in HTML and the animation show up, should be able to right click and save it to a location that way. Don't know if you have already tried it or not.

I have and that does not work. It will default to a bmp format so all it grabs is the first frame of the animated GIF.

There must be a cached copy of the file somewhere on my PC but I suspect the name referenced above is an enrypted name or pointer to the real thing.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
