Jeremy

Sure thats eay enough to do:

In Outlook:

Tools/Options/Email Options (top button)/ Tracking Options.

At the very bottom there is a radio button which you can select to never send a responce.

these options are grayed out in Outlook and is says: This option only applies to messages comming through Internet e-mail transporters.
I am running Otlook and exchange 5.5

Any more thoughts

Cheers

Jeremy

You can read the message through the preview pane without sending a receipt if you change a few options in the preview pane settings.

Under TOOLS - OPTIONS - OTHER - PREVIEW PANE. Uncheck "mark messages as read in preview pane" and also uncheck "mark items as read when selction changes"

This will allow you to read the message through the preview pane and not generate a receipt. joegz
