Hi Everyone: I hope someone can help me or at the very least direct me in the correct direction.

Background: Win2k Environment (servers and workstations running SP3) Office 2K

I have an user who shares his mailbox with several people. When his secretary tries to access his mailbox (anything) Outlook freezes and she needs to end the program task.

Now, the users mailbox she is trying to access he can uses his mailbox but if he clicks on the calendar his outlook freezes.

Now for the clincher. If his secreatary shuts down her computer, his mailbox and calendar works fine. Got any ideas? Help Anyone?

Note: Secretary is on an XP machine and Associate is on a 2k machine running sp4 (I just upgraded his workstaion yesterday and nothing changed).

Thanks in advance. Robin

Try rebuilding her profile. I suspect Outlook freezes because it is trying to access some server information that is no longer there or has changed and this locks the mailbox on the server. Which in turn is locking up the owner of the maibox.

At least this is where I would start to eliminate what it's not.

An update for all. There were corrupt recurring appointments. I removed them and everything came back alive.

FYI the first hting I did was to create a new profile on her machine and his. To find the corrupt email items I went to daily view and then on the upcoming days, i clicked one day at a time and when I froze, I used owa to get to the date and remove the item Thanks again
