I received an email from a user that sent me some Word and Excel docs and the attachments do not show up. The only way I can get them to show up is by saving the message to the local desktop...I then get the following message :

The custom form could not be opened. Outlook will use an Outlook form instead. The object cannnot be found.

but then the message opens up and the attachments are there. I then go back into Email and I still cannot see the attachments. Any ideas?????? BTW....I forward the message to a co-worker and he can see it just fine with no problems.

THANKS!!!!!!

Is it only with mail from one particular person that causes the error or does it happen with others as well?

I would generally advise to replace your frmcache.dat file with a copy from another machine that does not have the problem or from the installation CD. What ever form that mail is using is not being found in this file which holds the cache for all forms including the standard Outlook forms. But it could be that the sender created a unique form for the e-mail and that is what is causing the error on your machine. joegz
