Outlook Files

Hi All!

I know you can archive out specific folders as PST files, but I have a question:

In what format are the original emails kept? A college of mine had his PC go belly-up, and wondered if there was any way to retrieve his Outlook emails. In other words....are they stored as a flat file somewhere?

Outlook stores its emails in a .PST file. It does not store it in a flat file.
