my partner and i would like 2 different desktops on this XP machine, but she doesnt particulalrly want to have to log me off to get her emails and vice versa
I see that I can set the properties of the shortcut so when starting we are asked which user we want to be, but surely there is a way so the shortcut can be set to always run as HER (and other shortcuts can always be set to run as HIM)
Not that it works anyway (now there's a surprise!), my email client (thunderbird)on her desktop will run as HIM just fine but her Outlook Express 6 on my desktop asks "who do you want to be" just fine, accepts the username and password, but then just goes bing and nothing happens.
so i guess 2 questions
when you want to run a shortcut as another user can you permanently set the user name and password or do you have to type them every time?
and is there a bug in oe6 which prevents it being run as another user, or is there some other explanation
oh and is there a bug in oe6 which prevents the change mailstore location from being changed succesfully (so as to use the same mailstore whichever desktop is in use)
is sort of my feeling right now
