outlook express recovery (wab file)

Greeting,
here is my situation
i have a harddrive that has windows xp on it that went bad, i can't boot it up what is so ever
but i could do is , if i put it as a slave on a different operating machine , i could see the hard drive and all the data on it,

now is there any whay i could recover the .wab file (the contact list) out of outlook express that way ?

any suggestions will be greatly apprictiated, (this is very important to me)

As long as you can access the files on the drive, do a search for the .wab folder and move it over..

Once you find it, you will probably need to take ownership of the file. See

i did a search and didn't find any .. is the only way to have a .wab file is to export ? or it get created automatically ?

Go into the slave drive go to the root folder D: or whateveer it is... go to program files, outlookxpress, and click on wab.exe

Always export a copy of the wab and a coma seperater file to a floppy disk and back it up whenever u change you adress book. U do this from the address book click File, scroll to export, chose wab........ Hope this helps...
