Hi,

I have win 98 with IE 5. Outlook Express was working fine until yesterday. Now the problem is whenever I click on the local sent items folder or any of the sent items folder for my hotmail accounts, OE stops responding. I checked for the possibility of viruses but didn't find one. How do I fix this issue. Thanks.

Go back to a good copy of the registry .

Toggle F8 ( when , verifying DMI pool message comes on ) or Press
Ctrl during bootup , depends on your computor .

Select , Command prompt only . ( NOT Safe mode Command prompt )

After the C prompt , type , scanreg /restore

Follow the prompts and select a registry dated prior to the problems .

I have a similar problem to the one described above. I am using Win 2000 Professional and Outlook Express 5.50.4522.1200 for several email accounts, hotmail and others. Up until yesterday it has behaved fine. It still loads, and you can usually read emails in the first Inbox you select. After that, select another inbox (any one will do), and up pops the hourglass forever. Task manager reveals it's not responding. Quit it and reload, same thing, first inbox ok, next not ok and so on. Still collecting emails, still able to send them all ok. No error messages ever. Repaired IE5 SP2 install, rebooted, the same. Re-installed IE5 SP2, still the same. Any ideas anyone what else to try? I have latest AVG update BTW. Someone has recommended 'upgrading' to IE6 etc, but from what I've heard this is not too stable, and I have an older machine anyway. Any suggestions?
