I am using Outlook Express 5 to check for mail on our mail server. When OE was initially set up, a series of rules were created to deal with incoming e-mail.Everything was working OK until I created another rule to deal with mail relating to administration of the server. Now whenever I go into outlook express I am getting an error message

Msimn - this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. I am unable to check for new mail

Any help would be appreciated

Elise

Forgot to say - I am using OE with a broadband connection - I was able to get into OE by disabling the broadband connection temporarily and then deleting the rule but I am still receiving the same error message

There are several possiblities. Check out to see if any of the articles there address your issue. There are some that refer to your error message appearing when OE connects to the internet.
