Hi,

I have a user who has created mail groups in Outlook Express, however, she wants all the address's to be incognito so the other recepients on the mailing list cannot see each others address's. Is this possible using Outlook Express?

should be a check box saying 'don't display addresses when sending to a group' or something to that affect

That's what I thought, however, I can't find the option in any of the menu's in Outlook Express. Do you know where it is?

Thanks,

Hammertime

We are using enrourage....from what I remember of Outlook...you tick it when you set up the group...so perhaps editing the group will then give you the option.

I can't find any options, I reckon this type of setup can only be achieved when you create groups at the mail server end i.e. group1@whatever.co.uk.

If anyone else knows otherwise please let me know!

Thanks,

When creating the mail message, put the group into the BCC: field and her own address in the To: field.

Yep that did the trick, from that I could create a group (putting the members in the BBC field).

Thanks

The only problem that you might run into is that alot of E-mail scanners will pick BCC e-mails as spam e-mails. And sometimes this will cause people to delete the e-mail with out thinking.

I would get in touch with the exchange Server People to see if they can create a group on the server.

That's right and I advised the user to do this however the group is forever changing and needs to be edited everyday. They also run a Domino setup as opposed to exchange.
