I have an issue where Outlook Express constantly has a window that pops up that asks me if I want to compact files. How can I stop this from happening? Thanks for your time.

There may be some info that applies here:
There's mention of SP3 for XP causing the issue and also Nero software... solutions for both issues offered. Do you run with eother of these?

It's supposed to do that after a certain of open/closed cycles. Allow it to run once and do its thing. Is it still repeating after that???
It's a GOOD thing to let it compact the databases to keep them clean, reduced in size and hopefully, free from corruption.
