Technical User
Hello,
I do tech support for an ISP and one of our customers is having trouble getting on the mail server.
She has windows xp
and is using OE: 6.0
The error number she gets is 0x800ccc90, 0x800ccc91
saying that the user name cannot be found on the server.
I checked her settings and they seem correct and I also went a head and put them into my outlook express and it worked. so it's not a server problem. I had a customer call with a similar problem and what it took was deleteing the account giving the error, I tried it with this lady and it didn't work. I turned of norton AV e-mail protection(she has NAV2002) and removed the account again and re added it and it still didn't work. I searched around and most of the sites I found were either in chinese(trational) or japanese.
If anyone know's a fix please tell me. also if the fix requires uninstalling and re-installing outlook express 6.0 can you tell me how to do that with windows xp, all I can seem to do is hide it when I remove it from the control panel.
Thanks in advance,
Cody
