Outlook Express - Cannot Link to Internet from within a email 2

For some unknown reason I cannot link to embedded internet links within my Outlook Express emails. This just started about a week ago. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply; however I am having problems with opening internet links within an email, not attachments. I can open attachments just fine. You know when someone or some business sends you an email with a link to their site - this is where I have the problem, when I click on the site, nothing happens. I am running IE6 on Windows XP.

That thread doesn't say anything about attachments. Follow the info posted in that thead by myself and bcastner (both should do the same thing).

Thanks for the advice, but doing the fixes you all discussed has not fixed the problem. I still cannot open a link within an Outlook Express email. Any other suggestions?

In that case, we'll need more information about exactly does happen. -

Does IE open and just sit there doing nothing?
Does nothing at all happen when clicking on the link?
Does the hand appear indicating the text is a hyperlink?

Try this: open Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, File Types tab. Scroll down to URL:Hypertex Transfer Protocol, Advanced button, Edit button. Under Application used to perform action it should read: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome. Make sure that this is correct.
